....Such is this romantic Caribbean cottage with an exterior of stone and timber. Stone's Throw at Ocean Point, Providenciales (Provo), Turks and Caicos Islands, was completed in 1999, and offers all modern holiday amenities in a tranquil setting by the Caribbean sea.
This Turks & Caicos oceanfront cottage has large wooden decks at the water's edge, with lounge chairs awaiting you for sunning, reading, or just sitting there enjoying your vacation and this wonderful view of the Caribbean sea as waves gently lap the shore.
The screened porch of this Caribbean cottage is a delightful place to relax and enjoy the view while on holiday.
Stone's Throw at Ocean Point has one romatic bedroom with a beamed ceiling, wood and stone walls, an Italian tile floor, and a king size bed. A marble and tiled bathroom opens off the bedroom.
The interior of this Turks & Caicos honeymoon cottage has high beamed cathedral ceilings and tongue and groove cypress paneled walls, as well as some walls of stone. The furnishings too are quite special; some antique, some whimsical, and all comfortable and high quality, providing an environment much above what one would normally expect in a rental or beach property.
Stone's Throw has a small kitchen containing a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, toaster oven etc., however there is no oven, and only a two-burner surface unit. It is great for coffee and light cooking, but not for serious cooking, however, there is a gas-fired bar-be-que grill just outside the door.
At this romantic oceanside cottage you can rent a boat and dock it in your backyard, jump in the water from the boat slip, or walk three minutes and be on a lovely sugar white sandy beach with a foot friendly bottom and pale turquoise waters...or walk four minutes and be on the tennis courts - no charge to play. A short drive away is an 18 hole golf course, casino, notable restaurants, SCUBA diving, fishing charters, both deep sea fishing and light tackle, and some of the friendliest people you will ever meet in the Caribbean.
Certain times of the year low tide becomes very low and offers your feet an experience like nowhere else! When have you ever had a free foot massage in a beautiful surrealistic landscape?
This fantastic beach is Taylor Bay Beach, the beach at Ocean Point. Just walk out the front door of Stone's Throw, down the foot path, and you are on the beach - just over three minutes walking time! ...or jump in off the dock, swim over the little channel, and you are on the waist deep shallow beach area in a matter of seconds. This unique beach, shallow for a long distance out, is fun to explore, play Frisbee, etc., and of course, being on the ocean it gets as deep as you want it to.
Stone's Throw is discretely tucked into the trees providing you with a delightful tropical setting and privacy among the luxury villas at Ocean Point.
Note - The bottom level of Stone's Throw cottage is used for storage and is not rented out.
Just a few steps from Stone's Throw Cottage is Taylor Bay, with an almost a 'secret beach' since so few know about it. Here, in addition to clear, shallow turquoise waters, and a sugar-white sandy beach, you are apt to find remarkable sunsets such as this!
Note: The air conditioning is metered in order to discourage use with the doors and windows open. It is not expensive if used judiciously and you are not charged for the first $150 per week in usage, after which you will be charged at the current rate per kilowatt hour. There is a separate, easy to read, digital AC meter so you may monitor AC usage if you wish.
This Caribbean cottage gets a comfortable, almost constant trade wind, so it would be rare to exceed the AC allotment during your holiday.
